The world of décor is evolving each day, but some procedures have been contemporary in the industry. One such process is structural steel fabrication. DP Laser has been the master of this art. There have been many questions coming us based on the benefits of getting Stainless steel fabrication or what is in the first place.

Let’s read below and get to know about it.

Why get stainless steel fabrication done?

01. Aesthetics: When it comes to stainless steel, you’re not just restricted to only silver. You can choose from a spectrum of colour options. There is an array of shades from which you can select the one which suits your interiors or designs the most. Whatever is your dream shade to go along with hour fantasy can be matched through Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) process or Fabrication.

02. Wear and weather resistant: Stainless steel is a solid material, and this substance is one of the most durable ones. Fabrication though adds on to its resistance, and it becomes more resistant to scratches, grinding, marks and weather conditions. Your furniture will become more durable once you get it fabricated. The stainless steel’s original texture and structure is not changed; however, the process not only increases the product’s longevity but also reduces its maintenance.

03. An environmentally friendly process: When it comes to making furniture more durable by coating, many other options are available as well. Some of these include, such as electroplating and painting. Though, Fabrication is one process which is least harming to the environment as well as the surroundings. Unlike these, there are no gases, water waste and other residue released. Also important to note is that the colouring process does not limit the stainless steel’s recycling value.

What is Physical Vapour Deposition or PVD?

When thin films of one atom or one molecule are deposited on surfaces, the procedure is known as Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD). The process is mostly used on metal surfaces so as to make them durable. The source of the coating is physical that is a solid or liquid instead of chemical as in the alternative coating process of Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD). The process is getting used since the seventeenth century, and even today, its modern versions are used extensively to make surfaces more resistant against various natural as well as human-made conditions.

PVD processes are carried out under vacuum conditions. The entire procedure involves four main stages — Evaporation, Transportation, Reaction, Deposition. Fabrication is similar to this process.

Other uses for Fabrication on stainless steel.

Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) process or Fabrication is not just restricted to furniture. You can enjoy the benefit of this process for other things too. Some of the best uses are mentioned below:

01. Architectural:
Fabricated stainless steel is well used in the architectural and industrial design industry.
02. Transport :
Stainless steel fabrication can also be used transport industry. Examples include ships, panelling on trains, buses etc.
03. Interiors :
Even small artefacts or showpieces can be coated with PVD if you wish them to turn to some particular shade which matches your interiors. Moreover, this coating will make the piece more durable.
